A well established US-based sporting goods manufacturer is seeking a dynamic and talented PRODUCTION ARTIST to join their graphic design team!  The company manufactures custom balls for a variety of sports, along with uniforms and other sporting goods and equipment.

POSITION: Production Artist

DEPARTMENT: Product Development

COMPANY SIZE: Medium/Large

TIME ZONE: Pacific Standard Time, US (PST)

PAY: $1300 - $1500 USD/month, depending on experience/qualifications

TYPE:  Ind. Contractor, Full time (40 hrs week)

SHIFT:  Pacific Time US business hours, roughly 12:00am - 9:00am PH time

YOUR MISSION: Create artwork and designs for the company’s custom ball business and marketing team with efficiency and accuracy.

WE’D LOVE TO SEE YOU HAVE:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Production Art/Graphic Design or related field

  • Experience with 3D, specifically Adobe Dimension

  • Command of Microsoft Office

YOUR AMAZING SKILLS &; ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Adobe CS suite. Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat required

  • In depth understanding of vector artwork

  • Excellent organizational skills with a solid system of prioritizing & executing multiple tasks

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills

  • Demonstrate ability to receive and learn from feedback

YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create production layouts using Adobe illustrator. Layouts are templates for sports balls detailing but not limited to; size, color, and placement of customer art, material selection and color limitations, relevant information/specs about construction of the product. Layouts are generally made referencing a template of a similar product and updating the art/information for the customer.

  • Understand the differences between domestic customization, its subsequent methods of application, and full customization while adhering to design and art guidelines relevant to each.

  • Design and create custom virtuals/mockups to assist the sales department using Adobe photoshop and sometimes Adobe Dimension for 3d mockups.

  • Maintain accuracy of production layouts per request considering design/production/cost variables and maintaining consistency with previous products.

  • Monitor and complete projects within the creative request app based on the requested date for completion. Communicate with sales/CS via the request app for any questions concerning requests.

  • Share completed layouts and virtuals to manager for review via Adobe Acrobat, communicating any special notes or concerns.

  • Support the domestic print department and marketing with any requests.

  • Review customer artwork for vector usability, advise if re-creation of art is needed, answer questions of sales/CS concerning customer art.

  • Attend and participate in group meetings and collaborate on changes/critiques.
